Au-Zone Technologies is a Calgary based, Engineering Design Firm located in Calgary’s oldest neighborhood in a historical, character-infused building. We specialize in Embedded System Design and Computer Vision Development. We enable our clients which range from Fortune 500’s to emerging startups with in house intellectual property and custom design services.

We are currently looking for Senior Computer Vision Engineer to join our existing product development team. Your opportunity:

As a senior member of a small team of experienced developers, the successful candidate will be directly involved in the design and development of embedded Vision solutions for our clients. This role will require direct interaction with clients and multidisciplinary development groups in addition to the firmware team.

 Detailed embedded F/W design and development on client and internal projects, following a structured, software engineering process
 Developing algorithms for object detection, recognition, tracking and other processing.
 Implementation of real time image processing algorithms in C/C++ for embedded platforms
 Assisting PM’s estimating F/W scope, duration, effort and risk on project proposals

 B.Sc. / M.Sc. Electrical or Computer Engineering,
 8+ yrs F/W experience and a proven, working knowledge of Linux
 Familiarity with accepted S/W design methodologies and demonstrated experience applying them to a development program.
 Experience with image processing, algorithm development, simulation, and implementation

 Linux kernel, file system and driver optimization experience for real time operation
 Demonstrated track record of technical F/W leadership on interdisciplinary projects
 Experience with OpenCV, and OpenGL ES driver and program development
 3+ years device driver development expertise with multi-core SOC’s
 Experience with parallel programming using CUDA or Open CL
